We are looking for a caring, reliable, and understanding Personal Assistant to support a young lady with Autism, ADHD, OCD, and non-epileptic seizures/absences. She is a bright, friendly individual who loves animals—especially her two dogs—and enjoys getting out into the community. The role involves providing gentle, practical support to help her maintain her independence and confidence in daily life.
Main responsibilities:
- Supporting with community access (e.g., going out, attending appointments, social activities)
- Assisting with shopping and everyday tasks
- Encouraging and enabling independent living skills
- Providing reassurance and calm support during non-epileptic absences
- Offering companionship
About you:
- Kind, patient, and reliable
- Understanding and respectful of neurodiversity
- Comfortable around dogs (as there are two friendly dogs at home)
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, OCD, or similar needs is desirable, but training can be provided for the right person
