Hours: Mainly Sunday 10-3.30 once or twice a month (with possibility for additional weekend cover and occasional trips away for sporting competitions during the summer).

Pay: £12.71/hour PLUS 45p per mile petrol cost whilst at work.

Hi, I’m Ellie. I am a positive, intelligent, sporty adult who is looking for an outgoing, friendly, energetic and professional person to provide physical support at athletic events and training throughout the year.

This exciting opportunity is to assist me to attend training (Yate or Gloucester) and to participate in athletics (frame running) competitions across the UK. Must be prepared for all weathers as I don’t stop for bad weather! Access to your own vehicle and being a confident driver and motorway driver is essential. Occasionally, in the summer, there will be ad-hoc competitions/events further afield (up to 3 hours motorway drive away) which I will need assistance at. Light housework and meal preparation at the end of the session will be required. No experience necessary as training will be provided.

This rewarding position may suit someone who has a second job, to support studies or anyone who wants to make a real difference.

Duties (all training given):

  • Lifting of equipment (wheelchair/bike/sports frame)
  • Cleaning and light housework as directed
  • Ensuring water bottles are replenished
  • Assisting me to pack/unpack bag
  • Assisting me with putting ankle supports/shoes on
  • Transporting me and others when required
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times
