Personal Assistant required in BS15 area for 30 hours/week @ £14/hour. Start date: ASAP. Working pattern: Monday to Friday between 10:00-16:00.

Personal Assistant required for a non-verbal 43-year-old gentleman (J) with Down Syndrome. J lives at home with his parents in Hanham.

Main Duties:
  • Personal Care
  • Administering medication and support attending medical appointments
  • Household tasks: some meal preparation, light cleaning, tidying, ironing and laundry

J enjoys swimming and has a membership at David Lloyd's. J attends a drama therapy session once a week and likes to go out for food and drinks. J also has an annual membership for Wake the Tiger and Slimbridge.

About You:
  • You will have good communication skills and will be able to understand non-verbal prompts
  • Be patient, understanding and empathetic
  • Honest, reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable around dogs
  • A driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive J's car

This is an employed role and attracts the normal statutory rights attached.
