Personal Assistant required for a non-verbal 43-year-old gentleman (J) with Down Syndrome. J lives at home with his parents in Hanham.
Main Duties:- Personal Care
- Administering medication and support attending medical appointments
- Household tasks: some meal preparation, light cleaning, tidying, ironing and laundry
J enjoys swimming and has a membership at David Lloyd's. J attends a drama therapy session once a week and likes to go out for food and drinks. J also has an annual membership for Wake the Tiger and Slimbridge.
About You:- You will have good communication skills and will be able to understand non-verbal prompts
- Be patient, understanding and empathetic
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Comfortable around dogs
- A driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive J's car
