Personal Care Assistant supporting our 32-year-old son with his complex degenerative neurological condition. This is a 1-to-1 role within an existing team, focusing on clinical safety, PEG feeding, and quality of life.

Location:

Key duties and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for ensuring their safety, health, and wellbeing through diligently following a bespoke care plan.
- Assisting with washing, grooming, toileting, dressing, feeding, moving and handling.
- Administering medication, via PEG, including record keeping.
- Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment within the home.
- Providing mental and emotional support.
- Organising suitable recreational activities.
- Acting as a keen observer of subtle changes in health or mood, given the degenerative nature of the condition.
- Collaborating with family and other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care as his needs evolve.
Hours and Rates:
Part time, at least 10 hours, with specific daytime hours to be agreed. Pay is at clinical rate.
