A caring and reliable Support Worker is required to support a 19‑year‑old young man with Autism and ADHD who is currently attending college. He requires 1:1 support to help him access the community, develop social skills, and build independence, as he is unable to do this without assistance.

Main Duties

  • Accessing social and leisure activities in the community
  • Developing social skills and building new friendships
  • Learning and practising life skills, including budgeting and managing money
  • Shopping independently
  • Learning to use public transport
  • Promoting confidence, independence, and positive wellbeing

About You

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience supporting individuals with Autism and similar needs
  • Is patient, understanding, and able to build a positive, supportive relationship
  • Can encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance
  • Has experience in disability, education, or support work (preferred)

Essential Requirements

  • Driver with business insurance

Additional Information

Experience with Autism and ADHD is highly desirable. Training and guidance will be provided where appropriate.
