Job Overview
A Family Support Assistant is required for an average of 11 hours per week. This role can be split between two part-time PAs. Please state your availability when applying.
- Working Hours
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 2–5 pm
- Weekends: 5 hours on average per weekend (sometimes Saturday, sometimes Sunday; full flexibility on which day)
Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy meals and cook
- Domestic chores
- Take the person to appointments
- Short outings (pushing lightweight manual wheelchair)
- Shopping
- Occasionally support childcare for an energetic junior child
- Support with weekend outings and childcare to allow spouse respite
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have a car and be able to travel as needed
- DBS check, including children, and references will be required
- Calm, patient, organised, self‑initiated, energetic, and excellent with children
- No prior care experience necessary
- Additional Information
There is a small friendly dog at the home. Some flexibility for appointments is an advantage.
