We are looking for a Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Blackburn area. The role will be predominantly an overnight waking watch with the occasional, optional ad-hoc day shift.
You will be supporting our client, living with multiple learning disabilities, dystonia, and complex health conditions, to live as independently as possible, contributing to him achieving his full potential. You will be working as part of a small team. The overnights are 1:1 and the day shifts are on a 2:1 basis for moving and handling tasks.
Your contracted hours will be: 24 hours - 2 x overnight 8pm-8am. You must be comfortable being around animals as there are pets in the client's home (cats and dogs).
In return, Salvere Support offers:

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
- You must be self-motivated, well-organised, reliable and an excellent team player.
- As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, weβre seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication
- Having a clean, full driving licence is desirable, as there is the use of a mobility vehicle.
- Personal care, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain skin integrity
- Moving and Handling (including hoisting)
- Dystonia and Flails
- Domestic duties (laundry, cleaning)
- Monitoring of general health and well-being, & daily record keeping
- Communication support.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
