This role is to give personal assistance to a lady in her early 50's who needs help to live independently. She requires help with personal care, including styling her hair as well as doing household cleaning and cooking meals. She is looking for someone who can live in with her over a 48 hour shift to enable her to be more independent and attend more social activities.
A typical shift is 8pm from one day through to 8pm the two nights following. For example, 8pm Tuesday through to 8pm Thursday. Your role is to ensure she has all the assistance she requires with living her life day to day in her own home. You may also be required to accompany her on any outside activities.
You will need to be able to cook meals and prepare snacks as well as ensuring her home is clean and tidy, which also includes washing, drying and putting away laundry ready for use. During the night she may wake and need to be turned or made more comfortable. There needs to be some flexibility as things do not always go to plan and she cannot be left without care.
She is a kind and caring lady to work for and is lovely to talk to.
