We are seeking a Personal Assistant / Carer to complete our team of 3 carers providing exceptional care to a young man. You will help support him with various care needs, ensuring his well-being and comfort in the family home.
He has:
- A cheeky sense of humour
- Non-verbal but does let you know what he does and doesn’t want
- He has autism and well-controlled epilepsy.
- He enjoys going out for walks and other activities
Duties:
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Engage in social activities and community outings
- Administer medication
- Minimal paperwork
- Work with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Experience in home care or similar caregiving roles
- Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing needs
- Valid driver's license is a plus but not essential
Joining our team offers:
- Competitive hourly rate
- A set 3-week rota, working 1 full weekend every 3 weeks
- Hours are 6 hour shifts, 8am - 2pm and 2pm - 8pm
- Opportunity for additional hours to cover holiday and absences
- Immediate start date available
