PA required to support a male aged 8 who lives in Ushaw Moor and has autism, learning difficulties, and is non-verbal. The assistant will be required to support on a 2:1 basis to enable the child to access the local community and activities linked to the child’s interests. The assistant will also be responsible for the child’s intimate care needs.
Hours / Wage:
- 5 hours per week term time
- 10 hours per week school holidays
- £12.71 per hour
The child enjoys being outdoors, especially long walks in the countryside, and enjoys driving in the car too. A positive, caring attitude is essential. Training can be provided. Experience of working with special needs is desirable and would be preferred. Access to a car is desirable and a clean driving licence is preferred. An enhanced DBS will be required, and the employer will cover the cost.
