Job Details

I am a family man living with my wife and 3 children under 16 who requires additional support as I am a wheelchair user who is recovering from a stroke. I have a functional neurological disorder and Fibromyalgia. My PA will be required to assist me with personal care including safe transfers, washing (strip wash or shower) and dressing. I would also like the PA to support me to get out and about and develop social activities/hobbies.

Summary terms and conditions

  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour
  • Hours of work: Mon-Friday 2.5 hrs, plus an additional 3 hrs flexible weekly (total 15.5 hrs per week)
  • 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays
  • Free training as appropriate for role

The post is subject to the following:

  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
