Night Care Assistant £13.38/hr in Cannock – FTE – £26.1k – Cannock – WS12

We are currently recruiting for a Female Complex Care Assistant to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Cannock area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client who has Motor Neurone Disease to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community.
You will be working as part of a small team which will be on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis dependent on shift.
You must be comfortable with Pets as the client has several cats and a dog in their family home.
Your contracted hours will be: 10PM-8AM (Week 1: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – Week 2: Saturday and Sunday)
In return Salvere Support offers:
A rate of pay of £13.38 per hour

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
  • Personal care, support to manage incontinence, and measures to maintain a good skin state.
  • Catheter Care.
  • Moving and Handling (including hoisting and position changes).
  • Domestic duties (Laundry, cleaning, cooking nutritious meals).
  • Gastrostomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication.
  • Monitoring of general health and well being, and daily record keeping.
  • Proving support around meal times due to the clients dysphagia
You should also have:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
