About this job

Personal assistant for a person@ £13.50ph in Liverpool HTE £19,656

Reference: be78f86c I am,Mark Rowland and I am 52 years old.

I live in Liverpool but I am originally from London.

I came to London to study at the Liverpool institute of performing arts, which i done a one year foundation course in performing arts Then i moved on to go and do a degree in commercial music production at Chester college which is in Warrington So, I have been in Liverpool for 26 years.

I have a rare form of "cerebral palsy" (CP) known as “athetoid”. This affects 10% of people diagnosed with CP. This means that my muscles are affected in a way that causes involuntary motions/movements.

I have trouble holding an upright position when seated, I am unable to stand up.

I am also unable to hold any objects, have some difficulty when eating and drinking and have non verbal communication.

However, I am not your typical person with this type of impairment by far.

Because I got a tendency to have a really good life of nefarious debauchery and illicit shenanigans.

Therefore, I am an easy person to get along with who likes to have a laugh and giggle.

Basically I am very pleasant to be around.

To live my life how I want to I use personal assistants 24-7 for support and I have 2 - 1 care however I rather call it support.

This is because they don't care as such like a family or someone who is a partnership with me so they would think for me.

Therefore., PA role is to be supportive element of my life to ensure that I have my own mind and I make my own decisions.

Therefore the personal assistant just helping me to achieve whatever I want to do.

It is a fine line because my personal assistants do care about me because everyone cares.

Nevertheless my PAs should not judge the decisions that I made for example.

I have two positions that my PAs do.

One PA does the 24hrs shift and the other PA does the 14hrs shift in the day which you start your day shift at 8am and finish at 10pm.

Naturally there is breaks in between and when you are finished with your task you can sit down and have a rest.

Therefore, It’s a good week and rest balance here.

I am looking for someone who can do the day shifts on Wednesday and Thursday each week which is 28hrs per week.

Your duties will be all aspects of personal care which is washing, dressing and feeding for example.

You will be doing my medications so I mean helping me take them.

You will get trained to do all these things as well.

The other duties is all aspects of house work and the laundry.

Fo preparation which you will be shown what to do with my food.

You will have to assist me with getting to appointments, socialising and just daily life stuff.

We will talk about these things when we get to meet up for an interview.

My interests are watching films and series.

I am into my music being as I am a musician and music producer.

I like socialising so will be assisting with that with going out with me to places or if I have people coming over to hang out with me.

I think that is it and so if you feel like you right for this job then feel free to apply for it.
