We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and practical Personal Care and Support Assistant to provide day-to-day assistance with personal care, household tasks, and general support. The role involves helping with daily living activities, transportation, and companionship to ensure comfort, independence, and well-being. This role is part-time with a minimum of 6 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs as required.
- Meal Preparation: Help prepare and cook meals, ensuring food is nutritious and suited to dietary needs or preferences.
- Medication Support: Provide reminders for medication at scheduled times.
- Transport & Appointments: Accompany and drive to appointments, errands, and school runs as needed.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping such as tidying, laundry, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
- Pet Care: Assist with dog walking and basic pet care.
- General Assistance: Offer day-to-day support, companionship, and help with any reasonable tasks that promote comfort and independence.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience in care, support work, or similar roles preferred (but not essential).
- Kind, patient, and trustworthy demeanor.
