Location: Assisted living flat Lockleaze

Hours: 6 hours per week – Every Monday, 10:00am to 4:00pm

Pay: £13.20 for PA on PAYE or £21.20 for Self employed PA.

About the Role

I am looking for a female Personal Assistant to support me in my daily life. I live alone in my own flat in assisted living and need support to help me remain independent and continue doing the things I enjoy. This role involves supporting me both at home and out in the community. I attend physiotherapy appointments in the South Gloucestershire area and regularly take part in craft sessions and charity activities. I also need support to stay calm and safe if I experience non-epileptic seizures, so it is important that you are calm, patient, and able to use your initiative.

Main Duties

  • Personal care (washing and dressing)
  • Cooking and meal support
  • Shopping
  • Community access
  • Attending physiotherapy appointments (South Gloucestershire area)
  • Supporting me at craft sessions and charity activities
  • General support to help me stay safe and calm during non-epileptic seizures
  • Driving my Motability vehicle
  • Supporting safe use of equipment, including: Powered wheelchair, Stand aid (moving and handling required)

About Me

I enjoy being active in the community and supporting charity events. I love arts and crafts, especially making handmade jewellery for charity. I also enjoy board games, quizzes, going out for coffee, and anything involving animals. I am looking for someone who is friendly, patient, reliable, and happy to join in with activities. It helps if you enjoy crafts or community activities, but the most important qualities are kindness, awareness, and good initiative.

Essential Requirements

  • Female (due to personal care needs)
  • Have previous care experience, including moving and handling
  • Be confident using equipment such as stand aids
  • Be able to drive
  • Be willing to drive my Motability vehicle
  • Be willing to complete a DBS check (recommended and funded if required)
  • Be calm and able to respond appropriately during non-epileptic seizures

Working Hours

The working hours are Monday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Some flexibility may be discussed in the future if needed.

Additional Information

I live alone in my own flat. I do not have pets or allergies. I do not smoke, and I do not mind if the PA is a smoker.
