Organisational Information
We are a family looking for help with Frank, a 28‑year‑old who has Autism and Down Syndrome. Frank is home‑educated and has been following intense neurological programs since 2004. Previous experience is not required; we will support you during your first sessions until you are comfortable. Our goal is to develop Frank’s independence and communication, although his verbal communication is limited. We aim to bring fun and joy to his learning through enthusiastic motivation, trial, and repetition.
Description of Role and Responsibilities
Frank is very active and has many hobbies. He loves music, painting, dancing, singing, creative and constructive games, and sports. The main goal is to develop his independence and learning by engaging with him in his favourite activities, and encouraging PA’s to share their own hobbies and passions. You will also inspire him to perform simple household tasks together.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing Considerations
You will work in a family home and may progressively be required to undertake some activities outside the home. We expect you to be respectful of the family home.

No qualification requested. In the past we have worked with psychology, maths, history, drama, and music students; musicians, mathematicians, and retirees are also welcome. We are introducing BSL, so experience or willingness to learn is valued.
