Hours: 5 hours per week during term time, 10 hours per week during non-term time – candidates can pick their days – we can be flexible. Working days must include Friday daytime, with potential Saturday daytime hours.

About the Role: We are looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant to support a young person (F) to increase independence, access the community, and engage in meaningful activities. The role involves practical support, social support, and light domestic tasks under family guidance. Ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and being active.
About F:
- Baking – currently done with mum, and an activity that would be great to develop with a PA.
- Running
- Dog walking – the family has a labrador and a chihuahua.
- F has a strong interest in reptiles and is very knowledgeable about them.
- Spending time outdoors and staying active.
- F manages most personal care with verbal prompts but does require support to maintain good personal hygiene. Mum is available to provide hands-on assistance when needed.
Main Duties:
- Supporting F to access the community safely and confidently
- Encouraging physical activity such as running or dog walking
- Light domestic tasks with guidance (e.g., tidying, laundry)
- Supporting shopping trips
- Participating in baking or simple meal preparation with F – engaging activity for F
- Providing companionship and preventing social isolation
Requirements:
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Comfortable around dogs
- Supportive, encouraging and patient approach
- Respectful of a family home environment
- Drivers preferred; use of family vehicle may be possible if over 25
- Experience helpful but not essential – attitude and reliability are key.
Additional Information:
- Mileage may be reimbursed depending on care plan
- Paid via PAYE (Direct Payments)
