A Personal Assistant is required for a lady in Weeting, IP27. The rate of pay is £13.35 per hour for employed and £16.11 per hour for self-employed. Holiday and sickness cover is included.
Job Purpose: A social care opportunity has become available to work as a personal assistant for a disabled lady with physical and mental health issues in the Weeting area. You would be asked to cover any holidays and sickness. The lady’s conditions have rapidly declined, leaving her very vulnerable.

Details:
- Meal preparation – Cooking and encouragement to eat.
- Support in maintaining good personal hygiene.
- Support in the community – Food shopping, attending medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, and visiting family and friends.
- Motivational support – Promoting positive mental health & wellbeing.
- Social support – Support is required in all aspects of socialisation due to the lady suffering from social anxiety.
- Admin support – Read, explain, and manage emails, post, and bills.
- Medication support – Check if medication has been taken and to prompt/administer where necessary.
- Domestic care – Light housework, laundry, bed change, ensuring pathways are clear due to her condition making her unbalanced.

Summary Terms and Conditions:
The rate of pay for this position is £13.35 per hour for employed and £16.11 per hour for self-employed. Hours and times of work include holiday and sickness cover, which could require up to 24 hours a week, including some hours on a Sunday.
Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate, but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally expected to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Access to free training for employed workers is provided. If this job requires manual handling, handling of hazardous chemicals, and/or food handling, you will be required to undertake annual training.
