I am a 63-year-old woman who lives with my husband in Blyth. Due to a deterioration in my health and mobility, I am looking for female care workers to support me within my home to live independently and to allow my husband a break from his caring role.
The tasks will include:
- Support with washing, dressing and maintaining my skin integrity
- Assistance with toileting
- Physical support to move between the bed, chair and commode
- Help to maintain my food and fluid intake as well as taking my medication
- Keeping me company and motivated
My ideal care workers will be:
- Female due to the nature of the tasks
- Local to the area
- Chatty, friendly and have a caring nature
- Experienced (formal or informal) at supporting individuals with similar needs to myself
- Flexible and available to meet the call times I require
Hours:
- 1 hour call each morning with 2 care workers
- 45 minute call each evening with 2 care workers
- 2 x 3-hour block call each week to allow my husband a break
Full training and demonstration will be provided to all successful applicants. This will include access to the local authority learning together platform. The successful applicants will require an enhanced disclosure and barring certificate to work with adults. The arrangement and cost of this will be met by the employer. You will be employed by myself under a direct payment arrangement; full details will be explained at the interview.
