We are seeking to recruit a Support Worker to assist a young man in building confidence and developing independence during the school holidays.
Responsibilities
- Support a teenage male with autism to build confidence and independence.
- Provide companionship during outdoor activities such as walks, shopping, swimming and gaming.
- Respond calmly and positively to challenging behaviours, including non‑verbal situations.
- Plan and agree working days and times with the family.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience supporting children with autism is preferred.
- Full training and ongoing supervision will be provided.
- Patient, calm, and able to respond positively to challenging behaviours.
