We are seeking to recruit a Support Worker to assist a young man in building confidence and developing independence during the school holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Support a teenage male with autism to build confidence and independence.
  • Provide companionship during outdoor activities such as walks, shopping, swimming and gaming.
  • Respond calmly and positively to challenging behaviours, including non‑verbal situations.
  • Plan and agree working days and times with the family.

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience supporting children with autism is preferred.
  • Full training and ongoing supervision will be provided.
  • Patient, calm, and able to respond positively to challenging behaviours.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check (arranged by employer at no cost).
