About the Role:

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking Campsite Wardens (either a single person or couple) to join our team at York Naburn Lock Caravan Park, a beautiful, tranquil, 5-star touring caravan park situated just outside the historic city of York.

This position is available immediately and runs until the end of our current season in early January 2027.

There may also be opportunities for successful candidates to continue working beyond the end of the season, including during our winter closure and into the 2027 season, which begins on 15th March.

Your Responsibilities

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. Working as part of our small team, you will help ensure the smooth running of the park and maintain the high standards our guests expect.

Duties include

• Reception & Guest Services: Welcoming guests, managing bookings, answering enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Shop Operations: Serving customers, managing stock and placing orders.
• Cleaning & Presentation: Maintaining our facilities to a consistently high standard.
• Grounds & General Maintenance: Keeping the park tidy, carrying out practical maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Caravan Storage: Safely moving touring caravans within our storage compound.
• Teamwork: Supporting colleagues and assisting with the general day-to-day running of the park.

Working Hours & Seasonal Arrangements

• 35 hours per week initially, worked over four or five days.
• 40 hours per week from March for candidates offered continued employment into the new season.
• The rota will include some weekends and bank holidays.
• As part of the normal rota, you will spend two consecutive days every fortnight at our sister site, York Caravan Park, approximately 15 minutes away, providing cover for staff days off.
• Both parks close to touring guests in early January and reopen on 15th March. Further work during this closed period may be available by agreement.

Previous campsite experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.
