A fantastic opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, practical and hardworking individual or couple to live and work at Polstead Country Park, a beautiful countryside touring and camping park in Suffolk. We are looking for someone to fully manage and run the park on a day-to-day basis. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and the successful candidate(s) will take pride in maintaining high standards across all areas of the park. Accommodation may be provided for the right candidate in the form of a mobile home located on the park. This position would suit a couple who are happy to share responsibilities between them and manage their working days accordingly to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the park.
Duties
- Welcoming guests and checking customers in and out
- Reception and office duties
- Answering telephone calls and emails
- Handling bookings and customer enquiries
- Managing arrivals and departures
- General warden duties across the park
- Cleaning toilet and shower facilities to a high standard
- Cleaning communal areas and maintaining presentation throughout the site
- Grass cutting, strimming and general grounds maintenance
- Litter picking and keeping the park tidy at all times
- Monitoring the park and assisting guests where required
- Basic maintenance and repair work
- Emptying bins and managing refuse areas
- Assisting with gas bottle handling and deliveries where required
- Pitch checks and ensuring guests are following park rules
- Opening and locking facilities where necessary
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Maintaining a friendly, professional and helpful environment for guests
- General day-to-day running of the park and assisting wherever required
Ideal candidate(s)
- Friendly, approachable and customer focused
- Hardworking and self-motivated
- Practical and hands-on
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Flexible with working hours including weekends and busy holiday periods
- Experienced in hospitality, holiday parks, campsites, grounds maintenance or customer service (preferred but not essential)
