Junior Quality Control Inspector in Leicester

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative yet organised individual to join our Quality team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding organisation within a crucial area of the business.

The Role

· Champion the Quality Management System within the business

· Help maintain our BRC accreditation, adhere to SOPs

. Be a member of the HACCP team and take part in HACCP reviews

· Work within the Quality Team at Piping Rock UK

· Check and issue Batch paperwork to Production team

· Check outgoing batch paperwork before providing to the GM for release

·Perform monitoring checks in the packing facility

· Carry out line release prior to each packing run

· Carry out quality checks on bulk and finished goods within expected timelines

· Raise any issues with bulk or finished goods with line manager

· Maintain the retained samples room

· Carry out allergen rapid tests, micro or ATP tests and water tests within the packing facility

· Carry out or arrange for equipment calibration

· Retrieve and appropriately label product samples as necessary for external testing

· Assist with external audits

· Assist with chasing suppliers for certificates, agreements and statements

. Assist with chasing suppliers for outstanding NCR actions

Any other quality related task that is required.

ABOUT YOU

· GCSE Level educated

· Experience of working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. Pharma, Healthcare, or Food).

· Be competent with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Access & Word).

· An appreciation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

· High Attention to detail

· The ability to strictly adhere to procedures and a high level of attention to detail.

· Professional and motivated to develop themselves to become an integral part of the team

· Willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Department.

· Methodical mindset, thinking quickly

· Communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
