UKAS is seeking a Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst to play a key role in strengthening business insight, reporting capability and strategic decision-making across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled analyst with strong Power BI expertise and commercial acumen to influence business performance and support strategic growth. Working closely with Commercial and operational stakeholders, you will lead the development of insightful reporting and support the delivery of high-quality financial and operational analysis across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and standardisation of Power BI reporting across UKAS, from executive dashboards to exception reporting and operational insight.
- Integrate financial performance and risk reporting into project delivery processes, enabling proactive decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with Commercial teams to support business development strategies through detailed analysis of growth, profitability, utilisation, and revenue performance.
- Deliver meaningful insight into income streams and product performance, from lead generation through to long‑term growth and retention.
- Consolidate monthly management accounts through Power BI, including budget and forecast comparisons, supporting the acceleration of month‑end reporting timelines to within five working days.
- Produce accurate and insightful balanced scorecard reporting aligned to strategic business objectives, while continuously improving data flows and reporting automation.
- Line management and development of Data Analysts.
About You
You will be an experienced analyst passionate about turning data into actionable business insights. You will be a qualified accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA) combining strong technical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive, commercially focused mindset. You will ideally have:
- Power BI and data visualisation skills.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting and management reporting experience.
- Experience developing dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
- Commercial analysis and business modelling capability.
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.
