We are actively seeking independent technical assessors to cover the requirements of the Construction Product Regulations, construction certification and testing.
Ideal candidates for this role should possess expertise in one or more of the following fields:
- Knowledge of specifications around certification and testing of construction products
- Proficiency in fire prevention and protection measures, including testing and certification
- In depth understanding of Competent Persons Schemes, including electrical installation, plumbing and heating, insulation, and roofing (including PAS 2030/2031)
- Knowledge of relevant sections of the Building Regulations, building control and inspection, and the Construction Products Regulations
- Awareness of the commercial implications of test results on product marketing and the significance of transparent reporting and dissemination of findings
- MCS technology specific industry understanding (i.e. design, manufacture, testing, installation & commissioning requirements)
Playing a pivotal role in the UKAS assessment process, our Technical Assessors are instrumental in providing essential expertise, and ensuring rigorous assessments in the mentioned areas.
Experience typically acquired in a commercial testing laboratory or within the civil engineering field. Demonstrated expertise in relevant industry sectors such as building control, product certification, and production, coupled with appropriate qualifications.
