Role Overview
The Microsoft 365 Architect is a senior, hands‑on engineering and operations role responsible for the design and day‑to‑day management of the global Microsoft 365 environment. The role combines strategic platform architecture with practical administration and L3/L4 support, ensuring services are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Define and evolve architecture for M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Governance & Compliance: Establish tenant‑wide policies for data protection, retention, and regulatory compliance.
- Platform Administration & Monitoring: Administer and troubleshoot M365 services to ensure performance and availability.
- Incident Management & Escalation: Act as SME and escalation point for complex issues, performing root cause analysis.
- Migrations & Projects: Lead tenant‑to‑tenant migrations and coordinate global delivery.
- Automation & Tooling: Develop PowerShell automation and improve reporting and efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain runbooks and documentation for operational consistency.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work with global stakeholders and provide technical leadership.
Required Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID, identity, authentication, and compliance features
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience leading large‑scale M365 migrations
- Understanding of governance and change management processes
- Experience with Intune and endpoint management

- Microsoft certifications such as Enterprise Administrator Expert
