We are seeking a proactive, organised and results-driven Events Executive to support the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events that drive brand awareness and promote membership opportunities. As part of a growing team at one of the UK’s largest trade associations, you will work closely with the Head of Events & Marketing to deliver strategic initiatives that elevate the UKWA brand across the warehousing, logistics and associated sectors. This is a hands-on role suited to a creative and commercially minded individual looking to build their career in events and marketing within a fast-paced membership environment.
You will play a key role in the rollout of integrated events and marketing campaigns that enhance the association’s visibility, strengthen member engagement, and deliver high-quality event experiences aligned with UKWA’s strategic objectives. This is a full-time hybrid role, Monday to Friday. Typically, you will spend 2–3 days per week in our friendly Market Harborough office, though this may vary depending on business needs and event schedules. Occasional UK travel and overnight stays are an exciting and essential part of the role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Events Coordination
- Contribute to the design and delivery of UKWA’s events strategy, aligned with organisational goals and priorities.
- Support the successful delivery of events across the UKWA portfolio, including the National Conference and the Awards for Excellence Annual Lunch, welcoming over 500 industry representatives.
- Manage UKWA’s presence at third-party trade shows and events, ensuring strong sponsorship visibility, effective planning and seamless on-site coordination.
- Evaluate and report on event performance, using attendee, stakeholder and team feedback alongside key metrics to drive continuous improvement and enhance member experience.
- Marketing Coordination
- Identify opportunities to grow awareness of UKWA’s initiatives, events and membership benefits.
- Support event registration and attendance through targeted campaigns and outreach.
- Lead the creation of impactful event collateral and marketing materials.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Professionally represent the association, its members and the wider warehousing and logistics industry to a range of stakeholders.
- Attend key industry events and act as a confident brand ambassador for UKWA.
- Support cross-functional projects and proactively contribute to UKWA’s broader success.
- Bring fresh ideas and suggest process improvements to enhance team performance.
Essential Skills and Experience
- We’re looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is eager to learn, degree-qualified (or equivalent), with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar events or marketing role.
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working with event vendors, external partners, media outlets, marketing teams and industry influencers.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours in line with event schedules.
