At the UK Vein Clinic, we are looking for a Vascular Doctor/Medical Doctor to support the growing demand for varicose vein and thread vein treatment. We are expanding our services across the UK and seek someone willing to work flexibly across London and surrounding areas. Those without specific experience will receive comprehensive training and hands‑on learning opportunities. The successful candidate will report to our Lead Vascular GP.
Job Type & Location: Bank shifts – London area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose varicose veins and thread veins during initial assessment appointments (consultations).
- Explain treatment options to patients and answer any questions they have.
- Provide clinical recommendations on the number of treatments needed for effective thread vein removal.
- Deliver thread vein treatment in clinic for patients without varicose veins.
- Conduct follow‑up appointments, assess patient status and perform brief ultrasound scans to confirm closure of treated varicose veins.
- Maintain detailed patient records using the clinic’s patient app software.
- Triage cases needing further input and coordinate with senior clinical leadership for immediate responses.
- Attend clinical specialty meetings to discuss care pathways, training, and support needs.
- Provide a reassuring, compassionate, and welcoming service for patients.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Medical Degree and valid license to practice in the United Kingdom.
- DBS check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred (but not essential):
- Experience in diagnosing and treating varicose veins.
- General practice experience is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques.
