At the UK Vein Clinic, we are looking for a new Vascular Doctor / Medical Doctor to support the growing demand for varicose vein and thread vein treatment. The role is based at our London Harley Street Clinic with potential clinical days at nearby locations.
Job Type: Permanent, 3 days a week (flexible days, possibility of one Saturday on rota basis)
Location: London (Harley Street Clinic)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with vascular scientists to diagnose varicose and thread veins during initial diagnostic assessments.
- Explain treatment options to patients and answer questions.
- Provide clinical recommendations on treatment numbers after training.
- Deliver thread‑vein treatments for patients in clinic where varicose veins are not present.
- Conduct follow‑up appointments post‑treatment, including brief ultrasound scans to confirm closure.
- Maintain accurate patient records in our patient app software.
- Triage cases requiring further input with senior clinical leadership.
- Attend clinical specialty meetings to review care pathways and discuss training/support.
- Deliver a reassuring, compassionate, and welcoming service to patients.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Medical Degree and valid licence to practice in the United Kingdom.
- DBS check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience diagnosing and treating varicose veins.
- General practice experience (desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques.
