At the UKVein Clinic we are looking for a vascular nurse to join our team and help deliver varicose vein treatments to patients nationwide. The position is a private clinic bank shift role based in Manchester and various locations across the UK. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Vascular Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all safety checks before a clinic starts, including cleaning the room before, during and after treatment.
- Work in collaboration with another nurse and support the consultant with patient treatment.
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients at the clinic, keeping them talking throughout the appointment, ensuring they feel safe and reassured.
- Ensure the patient understands how to get the best results after treatment, including information about aftercare and available support.
- Work as a team to adhere to CQC regulations at all times.
- Attend clinical specialty meetings to discuss the care pathway, training, or any required support.
Required Qualifications / Screenings and Skills
- Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with at least 1 year post‑qualification experience.
- Up‑to‑date mandatory training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred (but not essential)
- Previous experience in private practice.
- Understanding and knowledge of venous disease and conditions.
