At the UKVein Clinic we are looking for a vascular nurse to join our team to deliver varicose vein treatments nationwide. You will work flexibly across Birmingham and other locations, reporting to the Lead Vascular Nurse.
Job Details
- Location: Birmingham / Various locations
- Hours/Contract: Bank shifts (Monday to Saturday, shifts will vary across the week)
- Pay Rate: Competitive
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all safety checks before each clinic starts, including cleaning the room before, during, and after treatment.
- Collaborate with another nurse to support the Consultant in treating patients.
- Create a warm, welcoming environment for patients, keeping them engaged throughout the appointment and ensuring they feel safe and reassured.
- Explain post‑care instructions and available support to patients to achieve the best results.
- Operate as a team member to adhere to CQC regulations at all times.
- Attend clinical specialty meetings to discuss care pathways, training, and any required support.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and at least 1 year of post‑qualification experience.
- Current, up‑to‑date mandatory training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in private practice.
- Understanding and knowledge of venous disease and conditions.
