UK Vein Care is one of the UK's leading providers of varicose vein treatments and part of Nordic Health Group, Europe’s largest network of dedicated vein clinics (+50 clinics in 5 countries). Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality, and medically sound vein care in a modern outpatient setting. With an expanding footprint across the UK and strong operational foundations, we are entering the next phase of growth and are looking for a senior operational leader to help scale our UK organisation.

UK Vein Care currently operates 12 clinics across the UK, with strong ambitions to expand the network significantly in the coming years. This role combines deep operational leadership of the clinic network with responsibility for organisational development and commercial performance as the UK business continues to expand. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and scaling the UK organisation.

The successful candidate will focus on driving operational excellence, building a strong leadership structure, and preparing the organisation for continued expansion while working closely with Nordic Health Group HQ. Strategic direction for the UK market - including growth strategy, expansion priorities, and brand positioning - is defined centrally by HQ. The role therefore focuses on executing strategy locally and ensuring strong operational and commercial performance across the UK clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure stable, efficient, and compliant operations across all UK clinics
  • Drive improvements in capacity utilisation, patient flow, and clinic efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience
  • Ensure clinics operate in line with CQC requirements and NHG operational standards
  • Build and develop a high-performing UK organisation
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local sales and operations teams, as well as the decentralised clinical teams across the UK clinics
  • Strengthen leadership capability and organisational structure as the clinic network expands
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of key operational and clinical roles
  • Own the operational delivery of the UK P&L, ensuring revenue growth, cost control, and sustainable EBITDA performance across the clinic network
  • Drive performance across clinics, patient funnel and conversion rates, treatment volumes, and utilisation
  • Monitor and manage budget performance and forecasting

Budget frameworks, growth ambitions, and marketing investments are defined together with HQ, while the UK Country Manager is responsible for local execution, funnel performance and performance delivery.

Growth & Clinic Expansion
  • Lead the operational setup and launch of new clinics
  • Ensure new sites are fully operational, staffed, and ready for treatments
  • Build the organisational capacity required to support continued expansion
  • Develop and manage NHS and insurance partnerships, expanding patient access channels and ensuring operational readiness to deliver treatments through these agreements
  • Strategic expansion planning including market prioritisation and site pipeline is led by HQ / Business Development, while the UK Country Manager is responsible for local execution and operational readiness.

Growth in the UK market will be driven through continued development of the private patient market, NHS partnerships, and relationships with insurance providers. You will play an important role in developing, negotiating, and operationalising these partnerships in collaboration with Nordic Health Group HQ.

Success Criteria (first 12 months)
  • Stable and efficient operations across all clinics
  • Improved clinic utilisation, patient flow, patient funnel conversion rates and treatment efficiency
  • Successful opening and integration of new clinics
  • Growth in treated patients, lead conversion, and revenue
  • Development of NHS partnerships alongside continued private market growth
  • Building a strong leadership team operating in line with the NHG way of working and brand culture
Who You Are
  • An experienced operational leader with strong execution capability
  • Experienced in multi-site healthcare operations
  • Strong commercial understanding and ability to drive profitable growth
  • Comfortable leading teams across multiple locations and disciplines
  • Able to translate strategy into clear operational priorities and results
  • Experienced working with or developing NHS partnerships, public healthcare contracts, or insurance partnerships

You are also someone who:

  • Is genuinely curious about improving patient outcomes and experience
  • Enjoys developing people and building strong teams
  • Cuts through complexity and focuses on practical solutions
  • Is open to innovation and how healthcare is evolving through technology and new care models
