Sports is a growing part of our B2C business, offering customers the opportunity to place fixed odds bets across a wide range of sports alongside our racing products. As a Trading Executive, you will support the Sports Trading team in the day-to-day management and performance of our sportsbook and racing products. Reporting into the Head of Trading Operations, you will help monitor pricing, manage risk, analyse performance data, and ensure a competitive customer offering across key sports and racing markets. This role is heavily focused on operational trading activity, market monitoring, and supporting trading performance.

You will work closely with Trading, Commercial, and Analytics teams to help optimise margins, turnover, and customer experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory and responsible gambling requirements. The Trading Executive role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for sport and betting, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and an interest in developing a career within sportsbook trading.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of our sportsbook and racing products, helping to monitor markets, manage trading activity, and ensure a competitive customer offering across a broad range of sporting events.
  • Assist with managing pricing, liabilities, and customer risk, while closely monitoring market movements, competitor activity, and industry trends to help inform trading decisions and optimise performance.
  • Analyse trading data and performance metrics to identify opportunities to improve turnover, margin, and customer engagement.
  • Work alongside the Commercial team to support the execution of promotional activity and customer offers, helping to maximise the effectiveness of sportsbook campaigns and initiatives.
  • Produce regular trading reports and performance insights for internal stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making across the business.
  • Contribute to maintaining pricing accuracy, supporting trading models, and ensuring the smooth running of trading operations.
  • Assist with market settlement, event management, and operational trading activities while proactively identifying and escalating unusual betting patterns, market risks, or operational issues when required.
  • Ensure trading operations are conducted in line with regulatory requirements, responsible gambling principles, and internal compliance standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance trading processes, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience.
  • Build strong relationships across Trading, Commercial, CRM, Analytics, and the wider B2C business to support shared objectives and business growth.

Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for sport and betting, combined with strong analytical and numerical skills. You may already have experience within a sportsbook trading, betting, or gaming environment, or be looking to take the next step in your trading career with a business that offers opportunities for growth and development. You’ll have a good understanding of sportsbook trading principles, betting odds, margins, and risk management, along with the ability to analyse data and use insights to support commercial decision-making.

Strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work accurately and confidently in a fast-paced environment where multiple live events may be taking place simultaneously. You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing competing priorities, and capable of making informed decisions under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams are equally important, as collaboration plays a key role in delivering successful trading outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools is desirable, along with a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to the continued success of the Trading function. Flexibility is also important, as the role may require evening, weekend, and major sporting event coverage when required.
