We’re looking for an experienced BI Reporting Manager to join us on a 6-month fixed term contract to lead the delivery, development and continuous improvement of the BI reporting functionality at the Tote. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven leader who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, is a technical expert with Power BI, DAX & SQL, and values creating strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making across the business.
During this 6-month fixed-term contract, you'll play a key role in shaping reporting strategy, enhancing self-service analytics capabilities and leading a talent BI team through an exciting period.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Reporting Excellence
- Own and enhance existing reporting and dashboard suites using Power BI
- Design, develop and maintain robust, automated reporting solutions
- Act as the subject matter expert for Power BI and SQL, promoting best practice across the business
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency and quality across all reporting outputs
Drive Self-Service Analytics
- Work closely with internal teams to understand reporting and analytic needs, translating requirements into self-service reports and dashboards
- Work with Engineering to develop and roll-out further Power BI reporting suites
- Deliver training and coaching to help colleagues become self-sufficient in Power BI
- Promote a data-driven culture across the business
Lead & Develop the BI Team
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of BI professionals
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement
- Review work, provide technical guidance and support workload planning
- Encourage communication and collaboration across the business
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands on experience in Power BI & DAX, SSRS and SQL, with the ability to act as the subject matter expert
- Experience working with cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proven experience leading, coaching and mentoring BI or Reporting teams
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how data supports business performance.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Python and/or R
- Experience working with Databricks
- Background within betting, gaming or other fast-paced digital consumer businesses
- Interest in sports, betting or racing industries
