We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager & MLRO to join the team where you will play a key role in helping the Tote build a sustainable and growing business. You will be responsible for ensuring the full range of multi-jurisdictional obligations are well understood across the business and will act as the designated MLRO for our UK and Alderney entities.
Reporting into the Compliance Director you will be required to engage directly with our regulators, act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders providing them with clear compliant advice and to manage the compliance and AML teams leading by example to drive performance.
We are looking for a proven practitioner with experience in a regulated iGaming compliance environment who can demonstrate a solid understanding of our industries compliance requirements and strong leadership skills. The Tote is a fast-paced growing business, so this role is ideal for an innovative self-starter who is highly motivated to deliver quality results and is confident to challenge.

Our headquarters in Wigan is the main hub for our team of over 200 innovative and ambitious experts dedicated to delivering our vision of providing the best betting experience for racing fans. The role will be 37.5 hours per week and will require regular onsite presence in our Wigan Office (approx. 2 days per week). A full induction, on the job training and development plan will be put in place for anyone who joins the team.
What you\’ll be doing:

  • Own and maintain the suite of regulatory policy documentation, collaborating with Operational teams to review, update and enhance policies and processes
  • Provide timely and comprehensive compliance advice to all areas of the business and engaging collaboratively to deliver solutions
  • Lead and manage the Compliance and AML teams, ensuring effective performance, development and execution of compliance initiatives
  • Play a key role in delivering new projects and initiatives, completing initial compliance risk assessments and providing ongoing advice
  • Deal with all aspects of licensing and licensing renewals
  • Deputise for the Compliance Director at senior management meetings when required
  • Act as the appointed MLRO for both the UK and Alderney entities

What you\’ll need:

  • Proven regulatory compliance experience in regulated iGaming compliance environment
  • Proven leader with a track record of successfully operating and influencing with a high performing team
  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of our industries compliance requirements
  • A deep, and demonstrable understanding of the Gambling Commission\’s licence conditions and codes of practice and associated guidance and risk assessments
  • A confident relationship builder with a reputation for integrity and evoking rapid trust with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Qualifications/certifications in Anti Money Laundering would be desirable
