Worthing Theatres and Museum are seeking a new Marketing Manager, who will take the day‑to‑day responsibility for planning and delivering WTM's marketing and communications activities. The role leads on one‑night event campaigns and provides strategic support for week‑long productions and the pantomime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns for one‑night events across all WTM venues.
- Provide strategic marketing support for week‑long productions, pantomime and large‑scale events, working in partnership with the Director of Marketing & Sales.
- Develop compelling campaign briefs, audience targeting plans and channel strategies for each production, ensuring campaigns are integrated across paid, owned and earned media.
- Manage the marketing calendar, coordinating campaign timelines across the team and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review and approve all campaign materials – including digital assets, print, social content and email – before publication.
- Line‑manage and develop the Campaigns Officers, Videographer and Distribution Assistant; hold regular one‑to‑ones, set clear objectives and provide ongoing feedback and professional development support.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings to align campaign activity, share updates and resolve any blockers; manage workload allocation across the team, ensuring capacity is appropriately matched to production demands.
- Hold responsibility for marketing the Connaught film programme and Museum team, ensuring both are represented consistently and compellingly across all channels, working collaboratively with the Film Manager.
- Work with the Film Manager to liaise with film distributors to obtain promotional assets, campaign materials and booking information, briefing Campaigns Officers to deliver execution.
- Liaise with the Museum team to understand the exhibitions and events programme, translating priorities into audience communications planned and delivered by the Campaigns Officers.
- Work with the Videographer to ensure cinema trailers, film assets and museum content are produced to brief and deadline.
- Work with the Ticketing management team to ensure cinema screening instances are correctly built in Spektrix and that reporting on film sales performance is produced regularly.
- Oversee WTM's digital marketing channels including email (DotDigital), social media, website and paid advertising; ensure content across all channels is high quality, consistent with WTM's brand and calibrated to audience segments.
- Work with the Videographer to commission and approve video, photography and graphic design output.
- Review campaign analytics and use data to improve targeting, messaging and channel mix continuously.
- Align campaign timing with pricing strategy and release management; liaise with the Programming team and producers to gather event information, assets and messaging for each production.
- Coordinate with the external PR & Comms partner, ensuring media and marketing activity are joined up, and support the Director of Marketing & Sales in preparing for production planning meetings, post‑event reviews and departmental reporting.
