Warwick Arts Centre is the largest multi‑venue arts centre outside of London, looking for an experienced, adaptable, and technically skilled Stage Technician to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of all technical aspects of live programs and conference events.
- Specialise as a stage technician: counterweight flying, load‑ins, fit‑ups and running of shows.
- Apply AV knowledge and basic lighting and sound operations.
- Communicate effectively with visiting companies and hires for incoming productions and events.
- Uphold the highest standards of technical presentation for all events while maintaining a keen awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the timely maintenance of all equipment associated with the stage, auditorium and rehearsal/hire spaces.
- Inspect all installations and equipment to ensure compliance with current legislation and licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Communicative, collaborative, positive and pro‑active individual.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a theatre environment.
- Experience in counterweight flying, load‑ins, fit‑ups and stage operations.
- Basic knowledge of AV, lighting and sound systems.
Work Hours & Compensation
Flexibility is essential; you will need to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A 5% availability allowance is included in the advertised salary scale.
