Assistant Head of Sound and Video

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Head of Sound & Video to join our Sound Team at Curve. As Assistant Head of Department, you will support the Head of Sound & Video in the day to day planning and running of a busy Technical Sound & Video Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Head of Sound & Video in day to day planning and running of a busy Technical Sound & Video Department.
• Work independently and as part of a team to participate in the upkeep and maintenance of multiple performance spaces, and deputise for the head of Sound & Video as required.
• Work closely with the Head of Sound & Video and other key technical team members to ensure Curve\’s programming of Visiting and Made at Curve productions are facilitated to the highest standard.
• Take responsibility for specific areas of the specialism and independently manage projects as agreed.
• Develop skills while remaining engaged in the hands-on practical day to day requirements of a Sound & Video Department.
• Role primarily based at Curve Theatre in Leicester, with occasional travel to support Made at Curve work on tour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in all key areas of the specialism, including proven skills in sound mixing to a high standard.
• Good all round knowledge of digital mixing consoles, audio networking and video playback systems.
• Proven experience and advanced knowledge in Sound.
