Due to continued growth and expansion of their Glasgow office, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Estimator who is eager to develop their technical and commercial expertise while working on nationally significant infrastructure schemes. Working alongside experienced Cost Engineers, you'll support the delivery of cost estimates and commercial analysis across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. You'll gain exposure to every stage of the estimating process while developing a strong understanding of civil engineering construction, project costing and commercial decision-making.
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for highways, bridges, civil engineering, drainage, water and infrastructure projects.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Maintain estimating databases and project cost information.
- Support senior Cost Engineers throughout the estimating process.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and project teams to deliver accurate cost information.
- Develop your understanding of infrastructure estimating, risk analysis and cost planning.
1-3 years' experience within estimating or a similar construction or engineering role.
- A background in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using estimating software would be beneficial but is not essential.
£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working.
