Are you looking to build a career in B2B sales with a business that will genuinely invest in your development?
We're recruiting for a Sales Development Representative opportunity with an established and growing B2B sales business in Manchester.
This is a role for someone who enjoys speaking to people, asking questions and getting to the bottom of what a potential customer actually needs.
This isn't traditional telemarketing.
You won't be working from a rigid script or simply trying to get through as many calls as possible.
The focus is on
natural curiosity, active listening and understanding the challenges businesses are facing , then exploring whether there is a genuine solution.
The Role
You'll be working in a
100% outbound B2B sales environment , with cold calling forming a major part of your day.
You'll be responsible for: Making outbound calls to prospective B2B customers

Asking open and insightful questions to understand their business
Identifying potential customer pain points and understanding their impact
Listening carefully and using what you learn to guide the conversation
Taking a consultative, solution-led approach rather than simply working from a script
Qualifying opportunities and creating genuine sales conversations
Working towards agreed sales targets
Developing your confidence, sales ability and commercial understanding
You'll receive the support and development needed to become a strong B2B salesperson, with a clear progression route into a
Senior Sales Development Representative

A strong listener who can pick up on what a prospect is really saying
Confident making outbound calls
Commercially minded and interested in understanding how businesses operate
Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
Keen to learn and develop a long-term career in sales
This is
not
the right environment for someone whose experience is purely telemarketing, script-based calling or high-volume transactional sales.
We want someone who can think beyond the next call and understand the
why
behind a customer's problem.
You'll need to be able to uncover a prospect's challenges, understand the impact those challenges are having on their business and explore whether there is a genuine solution.
