UK Staffing Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing specialist construction business delivering complex turnkey projects across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, advanced manufacturing and high-tech sectors.
This is an opportunity to join a business where the Quantity Surveyor is genuinely involved in the commercial delivery of projects, working closely with experienced Project Managers and the wider team. You'll be joining a collaborative commercial function with an exciting pipeline of secured work across the UK and Europe. As the business continues to grow, there is genuine scope for the successful candidate to develop into a Senior Quantity Surveyor and take on greater responsibility within the commercial team.
Working closely with Project Managers, you'll provide commercial support across technically challenging turnkey construction projects:
- Supporting the commercial management of turnkey construction projects
- Advising Project Managers on commercial risks and opportunities
- Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial negotiations
- Reviewing project costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting contract administration across predominantly Design & Build projects
- Preparing cost reports and supporting project forecasting
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- Visiting project sites when required
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background within the construction sector:
- Quantity Surveying experience within construction
- Contractor-side experience
- Building Services or MEP experience
- Design & Build project experience
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with Project Managers and delivery teams
- Experience within cleanrooms, pharmaceutical construction or controlled environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
