An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing, private equity-backed professional services business in Bury. This role is ideal for someone ambitious and looking to progress their finance career within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure and have a clear pathway to a Finance Manager role.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll journals
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Preparing VAT returns
- Cash flow forecasting
- Cashbook reconciliations
- Managing payments and invoices
- Providing financial commentary and analysis
About You
Essential:
- ACCA or CIMA qualified (part-qualified or AAT Level 4 also considered)
- Experience producing management accounts
- Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliations
- Ability to provide financial analysis and commentary
- Strong Excel and systems skills (ERP systems such as Sage Intacct beneficial)
Desirable:
- Experience in industry (practice background also considered)
- Experience using ERP accounting systems
