Part-Time Executive Assistant / Office Manager . This is a varied role combining high-level executive support with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business. You'll work closely with the Founder, managing their diary and travel while also taking ownership of suppliers, invoicing, administration, processes and general office operations. We're looking for someone who is proactive, commercially minded and enjoys making things work better. Someone who can look at a business, spot where something could be improved and take the initiative to fix it.
The role
You'll become a key part of the business, providing trusted support to the Founder while helping to create the structure and processes needed as the company continues to grow. This would suit someone who has worked as an
Executive Assistant, Office Manager or in a hybrid EA/Office Management role , particularly someone who enjoys having a broad remit and getting involved in how a business operates.
Key responsibilities
Executive Support Manage the Founder's diary, meetings and appointments
Arrange and manage business travel
Manage expenses and associated administration
Provide proactive and confidential support to the Founder
Anticipate requirements and help keep the Founder organised and on top of priorities
Office & Business Management Manage relationships with suppliers and external providers
Oversee invoices, expenses and general administration
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office
Create and maintain processes, checklists and documentation
Support recruitment administration, including writing job descriptions and creating new starter checklists
Help introduce structure and organisation as the business grows
Identify opportunities to improve processes and make the business more efficient
Look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and introduce better systems
Support with projects and other business priorities
Develop weekly reporting as the role progresses
About you
We're looking for someone who is
organised, proactive and naturally takes ownership . You won't be someone who simply waits to be told what needs doing. You'll be curious about how things work, confident asking questions and willing to take the initiative to find better ways of doing things. You'll ideally have experience in
EA, Office Management or a combination of both , with experience supporting a senior executive and managing wider business administration. We're particularly interested in someone who: Has experience supporting a Founder, CEO, MD or other senior executive
Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Can manage multiple priorities independently
Is comfortable dealing with suppliers and external contacts
Enjoys improving processes rather than simply following them
Is confident using technology and interested in automation
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Is discreet and trustworthy
Enjoys working in a start-up environment where things can change quickly
Has the ambition to take on increasing responsibility as the business grows
You don't need to have held an Operations Manager title. In fact, this could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced EA or Office Manager who wants to broaden their remit and develop their career further.
What's on offer?
Up to £45,000 pro rata
18 hours per week
Ideally 10am-2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or three full days Tuesday-Thursday/Friday depending on preference
