Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working
Up to £65,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission
Six-Figure Earning Potential | Established Referral Network | Growth Opportunity
Manchester Staff are exclusively partnering with a successful independent insurance brokerage as they continue to develop their Group Risk and Employee Benefits offering. This is a genuinely interesting opportunity for an experienced Group Risk professional who wants more than simply moving from one established consultancy into another.
The business already has a successful insurance operation, an established client and referral network and ambitious plans for growth. They are now looking for an experienced specialist who can help them maximise the opportunity within Group Risk and Employee Benefits.
The Opportunity
You'll have the chance to become a key specialist within the business, working with SME and corporate clients across:
- Group Life Assurance
- Group Income Protection
- Group Critical Illness
- Private Medical Insurance
- Wider Employee Benefits solutions
This is a commercial, client-facing position combining technical Group Risk expertise with relationship development and new business. Importantly, you won't simply be joining a large existing Group Risk team and inheriting somebody else's way of doing things. There is genuine scope to influence how the proposition develops, build strong relationships across the existing business and play an important role in Caspian's longer-term growth within this market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Advising SME and corporate clients on Group Risk and Employee Benefits solutions
- Building relationships with business owners, HR Directors and senior decision-makers
- Developing opportunities through existing business relationships and referral channels
- Identifying and winning new business
- Conducting detailed client fact-finds and needs analysis
- Working with leading insurers to identify appropriate solutions
- Delivering compliant, tailored recommendations
- Developing long-term client relationships
- Building and managing a strong pipeline
- Contributing to the development of the wider Group Risk proposition
Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with people currently working within:
- Group Risk
- Employee Benefits
- Health & Benefits
- Corporate Healthcare
- PMI
You could currently be a:
- Group Risk Consultant
- Employee Benefits Consultant
- Senior Employee Benefits Consultant
- Group Risk Broker
- Employee Benefits Account Executive
- Health & Benefits Consultant
- Corporate Healthcare Consultant
You'll need proven experience within Group Risk and/or Employee Benefits, strong corporate client exposure and the confidence to operate commercially. A broker or intermediary background would be particularly relevant.
Why Consider It?
For the right person, the attraction is the opportunity to have far more ownership and influence than might be available within a large established Employee Benefits team. You'll be joining an ambitious independent business where Group Risk represents a genuine growth opportunity rather than simply becoming another consultant within an existing structure.
The package includes:
- Basic salary up to £65,000
- Uncapped commission
- Six-figure earning potential
- Hybrid working following probation
- Manchester city-centre offices
- Established business and referral relationships
- Genuine opportunity to influence the development of the proposition
- Long-term career progression
- Incentives including European city breaks
Interested?
If you're already successful within Group Risk or Employee Benefits but would be interested in having a conversation about an opportunity offering greater ownership, commercial upside and the chance to help shape something as it grows, I'd be very happy to speak confidentially. Apply directly or contact Gill Twist at Manchester Staff for a confidential conversation. Manchester Staff is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. All applications and conversations will be treated in the strictest confidence.
