Role Description


The Area Contracts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Blackpool, Preston Nd surrounding areas, overseeing cleaning contracts across a defined regional portfolio. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and maintaining service quality to company standards. Day-to-day activities include scheduling and supervising cleaning teams, conducting site visits and audits, resolving operational issues, and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner. The Area Contracts Manager will monitor performance metrics, manage budgets and resources, support recruitment and onboarding of staff, and ensure health and safety and compliance requirements are followed on all sites. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance client satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of existing and new contracts. Ot will involve cover cleaning and/or making sure jobs are covered my yourslef or others. Organisation is key! Whiskt also building relationships with the current work force.


Qualifications



  • Experience in contract management or area management within cleaning, facilities management, or a related service industry, with strong client-facing skills.

  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multi-site operations, including workforce management and resource allocation.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices, site compliance, and quality control procedures within commercial cleaning or facilities environments.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams.

  • Competence in using basic IT tools and systems (e.g., email, spreadsheets, scheduling software) to manage contracts and report on performance.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support on-site teams, including experience with staff training, performance management, and issue resolution.

  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites within the Blackpool area and surrounding region.

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities services and a track record of improving service delivery and client satisfaction is highly beneficial.
