The UK Sports Institute and Aquatics GB have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Sports Medicine Team Physician – Para Swim. This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the medical provision to Para‑swimming, shaping the way we deliver sports medicine in this Paralympic sport. The role is critical to our success and requires leadership, expert clinical skills, and the ability to work in an integrated manner as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. The doctor will be responsible for leading the delivery and coordination of Sports Medicine services for athletes on the Aquatics GB (AGB) Para‑Swimming World Class Programme and for identified WCP activity. The role will also support the AGB Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in developing the Para‑Swimming element of the AGB Athlete Health strategy, optimising athlete physical and mental health to maximise performance potential for major competitions.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery and coordination of Sports Medicine services for athletes on the Aquatics GB Para‑Swimming World Class Programme and identified WCP activity.
- Support the AGB Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with the development of the Para‑Swimming element of the AGB Athlete Health strategy.
