The UK Sports Institute and Boccia UK invite applications for a part‑time Senior Physiotherapist to provide maternity cover for 6–12 months.
Location & Travel
Work is camp‑based, with flexibility around the needs of the programme and the candidate. You will need to be physically present at camps in Largs and Loughborough, as well as competitions nationwide and internationally (~60 days a year).
Snapshot of the Role
This position is part of the newly formed UKSI Paralympic Specialist Service. You will support Paralympic‑world‑class programmes and provide specialised physiotherapy to WCP athletes, including Paralympic, World and European champions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of athlete health services in the Boccia UK World‑Class Programme.
- Provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to athletes, maximising performance and availability.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimise athlete health and solve complex challenges.
- Plan and execute athlete health strategies aligned to the sport’s needs, including support for athlete classification where required.
- Deliver clinical care at camps and competitions.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should hold an appropriate physiotherapy qualification and have experience working with high‑performance or Paralympic athletes. Demonstrated leadership in physiotherapy service delivery will be an advantage.
