The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) and British Gymnastics are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Sports Medicine Doctor to join the World Class Programme (WCP) as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in one of Britain's most successful Olympic and Paralympic sports, driving athlete health, wellbeing and performance at the highest level of international competition.
A snapshot of the role:
- As Chief Medical Officer, you will provide strategic medical leadership across British Gymnastics, ensuring athletes receive world-class medical care and support throughout their performance journey.
- As a member of the British Gymnastics Performance Leadership Team and a trusted advisor to the Executive, you will lead the development and delivery of the organisation's medical strategy, aligning it with the wider Collective Accountability Performance Plan.
- You will provide expert guidance on athlete health, performance and wellbeing, while overseeing clinical governance, medical risk management and best practice across the National Governing Body.
About You:
- You will be an experienced Sports Medicine Doctor with a strong track record of working in high-performance sport and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- You will possess excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at both strategic and operational levels.
