The UK Sports Institute has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine to join our Sports Medicine service, as part of the wider UKSI Specialist Services team. The successful applicant will deliver sports medicine services to World Class Programme (WCP) athletes across multiple Olympic and Paralympic sports based from the UKSI Regional Hub at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre and will be the named Doctor for Hockey.
The role combines direct clinical care with leadership and technical oversight, ensuring evidence-informed medical practice, high-quality interdisciplinary working, and compliance with good clinical governance. The postholder will also play a key role in developing practitioners, leading projects in strategic health areas, and facilitating knowledge sharing across the UKSI network.
We see this role as critical to our success and are looking for ability to work in an integrated manner as part of a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, sport embedded practitioners and medical administrators.
